#WIPpet Wednesday – September 06, 2017

Hello and welcome to WIPpet Wednesday, a blog hop wherein writers share an excerpt from their current WIP that somehow relates to the date.  To join in, simply click the blue linky up there to the right.

Sorry for my spotty WIPpet Wednesday attendance over the last month. The uni assignment that was taking up all my time has now been handed in, and if I can actually keep my act together and get a bit of work done every weekend, I shouldn’t have to worry too much about the work piling up at the end of semester.

The assignment did also mean I didn’t get a lot of writing done, and the new version of Memories and Magic is sitting pretty much where it was a few weeks ago. I did start a new blog series called Short Story Saturday, though, and wrote a few pieces for that throughout August that you may like to check out. I wouldn’t say they’re my best work but I’m trying to get into the habit of getting words down without overthinking the prompts too hard.

For now, though, time for a  WIPpet. Since I haven’t written much the past few weeks, this will just be short. My WIPpet math is that both 6 and 9 are multiples of three, so a three-line paragraph for you.

They parted ways on the landing that led to Mathias’s flat. Clara continued up another flight of stairs to her own. She fished her key out of her pocket but stopped short when she reached the door. It was open a crack. She was certain that she had locked it on the way out that morning.

That’s it from me! Catch you soon!

  1. Warning bells should be going off in her head. Back away, and get help.

And, hey, missing things happens. The uni work must come first.

    1. Yes! All you need to do is post a snippet from your story on a Wednesday, and the snippet has to relate to the date in some way (for example 9 paragraphs for the month of September). You then post the link on the linky (see blue button above) and read other people’s snippets as well 🙂

      1. Sorry, I totally thought I had replied to your question. I definitely wrote a reply, but my computer must have eaten it. Just so you know, the link up closes about 11am on a Friday, but I reset it to open up again at 2pm Tuesday.
